    Overcast days and storefront displays create a noisy interplay of interiors and reflections.

    We have this window at the bottom of our first floor staircase that we rarely open the blinds on, but when we do... the angles come out.

    Back of Salon. Direct Watercolor. 16"x12", 140lb Arches Rough.

    Sometimes I step back from my work and can clearly see two (or more) mindsets not mingling. Honestly there are myriads in any painting, but I try to make it cohesive throughout.

    This one, I can clearly see that I found a lost square flat brush while in the middle of painting and stopped using anything else 🤣

    Our time in Oxford was gray (grey). Little shadows to give time of day, but storefronts and how bright the lights shown gave some indication.
