I've got some audiobook credits before I cancel my account (just not worth it when the #library is there 🥰). Could someone recommend some good audiobooks?
What I am looking for:
✔️Cozy mysteries or cozy horror
✔️If romance, nothing 🌶️ because I can't listen to sex scenes being narrated to me without giggling like a middle schooler.
✔️Female main character = bonus
✔️POC protagonist = bonus
✔️YA or New Adult recs okay
WITNESS PROTECTION IN A RETIREMENT community isn’t most 31-year-olds’ idea of fun, and with a murder on the grounds and $2 million missing from community accounts, it’s not very protected. Fun Florida cozy has lots of pizzazz. B PLUS
Some of this will mainly make sense to indie authors, but my publisher got a BookBub deal for Something Deadly on Desert Drive. I went from fewer than fifty ratings to 150 in a week! And I basically retained my star rating. I also hit at least #2 in free Cozy Mystery and #2 in free Women Sleuths in the Kindle Store. (I wasn't checking constantly.) Now if only those new readers will go on to read the rest of the series .... https://tulepublishing.com/books/something-deadly-on-desert-drive/ #books#mystery#cozymystery#reading@bookstodon
Something Deadly on Desert Drive is free until the end of the month! In the humorous Accidental Detective series, a witty journalist solves mysteries in Arizona and tackles the challenges of turning fifty.
Readers say: “I love the characters in this series.”
“Kris has done a wonderful job providing a suspenseful mystery for the reader to help solve, as well as shared some interesting and quirky characters.” https://tulepublishing.com/series/the-accidental-detective/ @bookstodon#mystery#books#CozyMystery
Read a Saturday Quote from Someone Rotten Riding the Rails @MysterySection blog! Kate Tessler and her crew of misfits set out to blow the whistle on two feuding crime families...
I kinda want to write a murder mystery about a middle-aged woman who moves from her big-city professional job back to her small home town. She inherits a cosy little cottage and a little flower shop / bookshop / café / whatever. She runs into her ex and there's still chemistry there. But then – oh no! A murder. And she has to solve it because the cops think she's the killer.
