After spending the last few days talking a lot about along with its evil opposite, ‘green growth’ (so beloved by the capitalist establishment), here’s a reminder that we are faced with a comparatively simple choice. Not easy to accomplish or implement, of course, but plain enough to see.

"... forced upon us by the eco(n)system we live in."

A different socio-economic system can cushion more catastrophes before the fabric of civilisation rips. and fail due to the philosophical and systemic foundation on men's greed. We'd stand to lose everything should we keep at it the next 10 yrs.
Solidarity rulez.
But it has to be established by a deadline. Should we be too late, even tho we're in the process of establishing Global Solidarity but the systems are not in place yet, a clusterfuck of events can still irreparably collapse the entire human organisation.
Then and die of untreated cancer due to meltdowns in all European active and decommissioned nuclear plants.
A little later, and starve to death because their bunkers run out of food or spare cables.
Global-North and all cities are depopulated. A huge draws down ppm bigly.
Rural communities in cultures with restart.

Diagram titled "Environmental shocks can cascade across societies". It shows a sketched, four-stepped waterfall with groups of keywords in each step, cascading from the top, "current context" with keywords like Income Inequality and Global Warming, to the 2nd step, "building stressors" with keywords like International Trade Complexity and Drought, to the third step, "Sudden And Gradual Tipping Points" with keywords like Market Volatility and Water Conflict and Price Spikes and Displacement to the last stept, "Systemic Failure" with keywords like Migration, Currency Destabilisation, Food Riots, Political Destabilisation. Along the steps of the waterfall it says "Each component displays complex correlations and feedback loops."
