I am a Nebula Award finalist, and the Nebula conference is this week. My book, THE INN AT THE AMETHYST LANTERN, is nominated for the Andre Norton Nebula Award for younger fiction (young adult in this case). So what's the book about? I've got you covered: https://jendiagammon.com/2024/03/18/about-the-inn-at-the-amethyst-lantern/

Just finished Adib Khorram's "Kiss and Tell"

I enjoyed it. Much lighter than his better known book "Darius the Great Is Not OK" and, unlike that book, the main character is a white, middle class Canadian boy (not a Persian American like Darius).

It's about Hunter, an out gay teenager who is part of a super-famous boy band.

A lot of the plot deals with how he struggles with the pressure to perform gayness in an "acceptable" way for the public. Allowed to be cute and quirky. Definitely not allowed to be sexual.

There's an absolutely awesome nonbinary character too, with the same name as me (Masha) slightly surreal reading that! 😅

I enjoyed this one, even though it felt slightly awkward at times. Emotionally true.
