@ElizabethLeeCo@horror this one was a profound experience for 11 year old me. It hit different when you were a kid and knew all the BBC hosts from other shows and didn't particularly understand what was happening 🤣
I haven't seen #Abigail yet but it appears to share some similarities with the French movie #LIVID (aka #LIVIDE.) At least peripherally.
I think they are probably very different in tone, but LIVID is on #Shudder (or it was) and I HIGHLY recommend it. And I'd be curious as to what people who've seen Abigail think. (No spoilers, though, please.)
I started watching this one last night but dozed off halfway through. Not because I was bored but because I'm at that age where I shouldn't start a movie past 9pm. I'll finish it tonight. It gave off "Talk To Me" vibes with bad things that happen when people contact the dead. #baghead#shudder#horror@horror
📽️ Tonight I'm renting ALL YOU NEED IS DEATH because it sounds utterly like my jam and I've heard fantastic things (it's on VOD for $5.99)
📽️ Saturday night we're having a #horrorwatch / #watchalong for a movie I can't believe I've never seen: Alex de la Iglesias' THE DAY OF THE BEAST over on Bluesky. It's on #Shudder and anyone is welcome to join us!
I HIGHLY recommend you look up BOTH of these movies, if unfamiliar, because they both look & sound AMAZING!
