I hear ya! I avoided studio lighting for much of my career.
Having just one or two simple setups that work reliably really helps us though. We don't reinvent the wheel every time, just have a reliable setup that can make our lives easier :)
I have a junky little light tent that I use with lights on both sides in the top. I basically just arrange the product inside it and snap. It comes out good enough for what I need it for.
