I'm watching a 1989 Skinemax vampire movie I thought was the height of sexiness and romance in high school and, holy shit, the love interest has the most ridiculous mullet. Like, straight-up Nic Cage Con Air hair but w/ teased bangs. I keep getting the giggles 😆

Willem Dafoe? Bill Skarsgård? In a film by Robert Eggers? I am not sure the anticipation could be cranked up any higher 😂

Note: Previously, even though I'm not a huge horror fan, I described The VVitch as a perfect film—that is, there was literally nothing that I felt could have been improved on. My friend—who is a huge horror fan—agreed. 🙂

There can’t really be only 10 people on Mastodon who toot their way through . Which means there’s something wrong with how I’ve got this set up, right? Horror.hub alone should have hundreds. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

jsit ,
@jsit@social.coop avatar

@BeachsideReader If a person posts, and they aren’t followed by anybody on your instance, you won’t see that post in a hashtag search.

One solution would be to go to the hashtag page on different instances and follow everyone who uses it.

@BeachsideReader Another alternative would be for people to mention and follow the @thelastdrivein, @mutantfam, or @horror accounts.

Book of Blood (2009) on . Not to be confused w/ Books of Blood (2020) from , even though they're both related to Clive Barker's wraparound story from his Books of Blood. I know I've seen this but I can't remember if I liked it 🤷

@horror This reminds me that I've always wondered why the actors playing the parents in most American TV shows & made-for-TV movies before the mid-nineties were old enough that they would've had to conceive in their fifties. Was it because the actors playing the teens were usually in their thirties? 🤔

@ElizabethLeeCo @horror The further back you go the older parents in film and TV look and my hypothesis is: smoking, and no sunscreen.
