Good summary by Electrive (in German) of yesterday's German Charging Infrastructure Conference.

In addition to the launch of the 'Deutschlandnetz' for cars, Germany is about to launch a tender for 4200 & CCS charging points (at >350 locations) to provide an essential charging network for trucks (and buses). Existing road toll data has been used to model traffic patterns and charging requirements.

Do I understand right that you can in principle pay with any bank / credit card at any charging station, but you may pay a higher price than if you had a subscription to that particular charger network?

@CelloMomOnCars yes. And this is not in line with the European regulation as intended by the lawmakers. Yet, in a last minute move, the European Commission provided a guidance document that has empowered CPOs to differentiate pricing - giving a wide interpretation to the 'however'.
