I haven't been able to get any traction anywhere, much less any assistance. I've got 5 bucks left on my transit card and have a Drs appt tomorrow. I won't be able to pay for anything because I can't even get sales on my photography. I'm so tired of the struggle and the hustle. My wrist is hurting from overusing my cane and I wish I could use my wheelchair, but the trolley isn't accessible and I can't roll a mile every day

It's March & that means a new round of monthly expenses. March expenses are 800. 200 for food, 100 for transit, 100 to help with the gas bill, 200 for a new rollator (I prioritized clothes for kid b4), & 200 for a bunch of smaller bills & cat stuff

I really don't know what to do with myself. Like, I could drastically improve my pain levels in my lower body by going wheelchair using most days, but that literally locks me entirely out of the only transit route to my kid's school and that 2xday trip is a major factor in my daily spoons. I do not have the upper body strength to roll 2 miles of shitty sidewalk every day in a timely fashion, nevermind my kid's inevitable complaints about walking
In addition there's also the two sets of steps to my front door. It's too steep for a reasonable ramp and there's no space to make a winding ramp bcuz racism, classism and ableism in home construction and property allotment and sidewalks, nevermind the potential arguments with the landlord company over my civil rights. I can't drive and even if I had someone to teach me, that's still An Undertaking and wouldn't help me function tomorrow. Frustration #disability
Hey pachyderms, my friend Willa is in desperate need. Her husband passed away in October and she went into labor at 23 weeks, not even two weeks after she became a widow, and her baby is still in the hospital. Between grief and preemie parenting, she hasn't been able to work and really needs help getting her bills paid. It would mean a lot to me if we can get her some security.

I saw this rollator on Amazon, and I really like it. There's another one from a more reputable company, but it's also a hundred dollars more, and I'm hoping someone will be kind enough to get me the cheap little bread machine on my #ThroneWishlist so I can save some money long term by making bread instead of buying it. A new crockpot would be nice too so I could cook more. Being disabled is stressful

Hi pachyderms! My friend is in some dire straits & has been for months. Since I know from personal experience that the awesome ppl of mastodon are generous & compassionate, I'm making a #MutualAidRequest on her behalf! She's been drowning financially for over a year after two difficult surgeries & sabotage by a partner she can't leave bcuz of #disability & her support network is very small & inconsistent. Any help is love!
I am more than happy to vouch for her. I just want her to be safe & have less stress. Her health is precarious & I hope as she gets used to mastodon that she'll be able to get a fundraiser going to leave her trash partner & go to Hungary where she has dual citizenship to get better Healthcare!
