I am not normally a fan of #1970s#scifi but #TheForeverWar by #Haldeman is exceptional. Tis like a scifi equivalent to The Red Badge of Courage. Ok, granted, some bits haven't aged well but it's still an insightful piece of work. (I'd say more but avoiding spoilers.)
