Some 184,000 people have registered for humanitarian assistance in the western outskirts of Khan Younis in recent days, the UN humanitarian agency, OCHA, has said in its daily update.

“They were displaced from western Khan Younis city in recent days amid evacuation orders and continued hostilities,” OCHA said.

The Israeli military is ramping up its attacks on Khan Younis in southern Gaza, with hundreds of Palestinians killed in recent days.

Many who had already been displaced from the north of the besieged enclave are now being forced to flee further south to Rafah carrying all of their possessions.

Exhausted parents carrying hungry children. The elderly pushed in wheelchairs. All looking for safety where there is none.
