The Cannonball Adderley Quintet - Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! Live at "The Club" (Capitol, 1967)

More deceptive marketing: actually recorded in a Hollywood studio w/ an audience and bar, not at Chicago's Club DeLisa. A fantastic, soulful set nonetheless, highlighted by Joe Zawinul's hit title song (teased by Page in the Dick's Light, for the Phish nerds). Produced by David Axelrod.

Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else (Blue Note, 1958; Scorpio reissue)
Released under Cannonball's name with Miles Davis ostensibly as a "sideman", though he seems to be in control, just days after recording Milestones. I knew it was a reissue (got it used for cheap), but didn't realize it was a scorpio knockoff until I looked it up on discogs. Sounds surprisingly good for a dubious source.
