Happy New Year all you tooters and folk! I've decided to start a new photo thread for the New Year, even though I'm part way through a roll, and nowhere near up to date (early November, in fact). Low bridge... built for a short-cut railway line, now defunct and used as "The Greenway" for walkers, cyclists and riders.

A brick bridge with a "Low Bridge" sign on it, indicating the height at centre is 4.3m or 14 feet 3 inches. The right hand side of the bridge support is lit by the low sun, which can be seen just above the horizon behind a tree at the left side of the opening. The single track road curves round to the right through the bridge, then disappears left towards another tree. Black and white photo.

    Black and white image shows a bench, facing away, under a tree. Behind to its right is a building with lights on it what is clearly early twilight (this is the Queen and Castle pub/restaurant). Behind the bench to the left is a lit street lamp, and a main road curving up the hill. On roughly the left hand third a vertical light leak is reminiscent of the transporter beams from sci-fi movies!

    An old bridge built from brick crosses the Greenway, carrying a farmer's track. Ivy covers the upper part of the bridge and dangles down towards the path. Beyond are trees on each side, fading into a bright light where much brighter sun is shining on the path. Black and white photo.
