After Moxley finishes his promo on Will Ospreay, we cut to a backstage Mercedes Mone, whose also cutting a promo. Everytime they do these backstage promos I can't help but wish they'd get a better lighting setup.
Out comes Adam Copeland for the mixed gender tag team match. After his entrance, we cut to footage of backstage where Wilow, his teammate, has been attacked. The lights go out and Brody King attacks Adam from behind and the match starts. No women have entered the fight so far.
Eventually, after lots of cheating, Willow comes to make the save. Her and Adam take the win. Julia Hart attacks Willow after the match and out comes the CEO!
I was right, basically. Except it's a murder on live TV. Long ass march that they're just burying Garcia, PAC, and Penta😬🤦♂️they're getting a LITTLE offense in, but it hasn't looked good for them.
Back from commercial, Jericho comes out and then out comes Hook and his dad, Taz. Jericho talks about trying to teach Hook a lesson last week and asking for him to accept his mentorship. Hook said no and calls Taz "dead weight" and tells him to "stop, please". Very good segment and promo, worth watching.
LOL. Jericho strikes Taz and the crowd erupts with "YOU FUCKED UP!" chants as Hook grabs Jericho by the collar and tells him to "get out of my ring". Jericho acts like hes apologizing and the crowd chants "nah nah nah, goodbye" to him as he makes his exit.
Kind of getting bored now...😬after the match there was a few interferences and then a backstage promo from the Bang Bang Gang. Then back to commercial.
Sting and Darby Allin are NEW Tag Team Champions!!! That's exciting! But also, not so much because I already know the Young Bucks (who just interrupted their celebration and attacked them as I'm typing this) will be winning the championship again🙄🤦♂️🥱
Seeing the crowd so loud for Moxley warms my heart...well as much as my heart can be warmed because of a crowd's loving reaction to someone who basically self mutilates for their entertainment :kek:
What the FUCK!!! The fucking time limit expired as the ref counted 2 for Swerve....match counted as a draw.
Swerve grabbed the mic and asked for Hangman to agree to 5 more minutes. Hangman says "FOR YOU, THIS IS OVER!"and starts heading to the back.
Tony Schiavone grabs the mic and says "Hang on Adam, I just talked to Tony Khan and he says that since we now have TWO number one contenders, the match at revolution will be a Triple Threat Match for the title!!"
Well, at least AEW is doing something right by having the number one contender match first.
That way I can decide whether the rest of the show is worth watching...if Swerve loses I shut the TV off and be done with wrestling until they all get their shit together real fast...
