They focused on the required flight path of the cancelled balloon flight on June 4, which had been calculated by the Air Force's star witness from Mogul. And what they found was shocking, with "numerous, grade-school type math errors" found – in one instance "100 feet / 12 minutes = 350 feet-per-minute" – which allowed the alleged Mogul flight to start and stop at just the right altitude to ride the wind toward the Roswell crash site.
