Before the full-scale invasion, Maksym Sakhno was a professional equestrian and was abroad.

After February 24, he returned to Ukraine with a car for Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then he was mobilized, trained in England, sent to the frontline, and got wounded. Maksym lost his leg due to a cluster bomb. Also, due to small fragments, he underwent numerous surgeries every 5 days.

Maksym has already found a horse for the next Paralympic Games.
