I think I may have an idea of why this has been down-voted?

How much you buy into this vision will undoubtedly depend on your predilection toward Musk and your sense of the difficulty of forging habitable communities on an uninhabitable world like Mars.

I wonder who didn't click the article /s

Wanderer ,

It's just a big circle jerk.

Hating Musk is cool and nothing else matters.

If nothing else the CEO of the top rocket company talking about rockets should be a point of discussion. In stead it's "does that say Elon Musk. Downvote! Hahaha I'm so great. Take that Musk"

burble , in SpaceX launches Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center on 1st ‘Bandwagon’ mission – Spaceflight Now

This is cool for the small sat industry. It's a good sign that there's enough demand for another frequent rideshare orbit. Now we need more launch providers to catch up.

It's going to be impressive when starship is flying payloads

The space science equipment that could fly in that large a rocket is incredible, the rate of launches at so low a price will be huge.

Article makes no mention that they’re reducing rockets needed, seems insane that 12 or more will be needed per Starship? This Mechazilla cradle seems like a tremendously stupid risk too. Wish SpaceX would get rid of their Nazi sympathizer CEO and show us how a private space company can be ran.

Ashyr ,

Private companies have no business in space.

Interesting comment, care to enlighten us? Comparing SpaceX and Blue Origin isn’t really fair when one is headed by a Nazi sympathizer and the other a billionaire capitalist. Isn’t there another rocket company too?

intensely_human ,

If there’s no business in space then why are they trying to go there

At 0:18 we see what I presume is the mission control room near the launch site.

But the camera wasn't actually shaking that badly, was it? That was a special effect added for this video, right?
