china doesn't simply just have scientists, they a science centric country (pardon me for lack of a better term), meaning they put science as a central pillar to development of the country, not only researchs get basically unlimited funding, they made a series of institutions to foment materialist and scientific though at an early age, students visits labs and members of chinese academy of sciences are treated like celebrities, and many other things to make the youth pursue a science carrer.
