@Miro_Collas ...hokay: they FINALLY get to the meat of the matter at the 19 min 20-some second mark, so I'm going to bullet-point the items as they come across...

  • The IDF aimed at the WCK vehicles because there's no command/control chain-of-command anything and they just do what they want (presenter calls that plausible and cites a Haaretz article in which there are leaked IDF comms to back that up).

*speculation was that WCK was a Trojan Horse replacement for UNWRA so WCK issued a statement to the contrary, stating further that WCK works with other relief orgs including UNWRA. Then 2 days later the IDF shoots at them.

I'm not going to bullet-point the "third possibility" because it's just bonkers--there's a bright side to the killing and that it bolsters the publicity of WCK, and this video was attempting to make that case since the first minute--that WCK wasn't interested as much in actual relief as it was in the publicity, and on that point the video is a massive as of this "third possibility" which it really isn't.

At the 22 minute mark, Nora Friedman made the point that Mary just made: the incident might have produced more donations to WCK but it's not the case that WCK is resuming operations there. It's been off-putting for all the other aid organizations operating there as well.
