@ciggysmokebringer I've seen local cops do some really dumb things at protests and building occupations over the years, but having been in the middle of the nyc antiwar action as a teen in the 60s, including a few days at the OG Columbia occupation, I have to say... The nypd's tac pigs have gone braindead. I saw a pic of some on a ladder entering a Columbia building in short sleeves. SHORT SLEEVES! 😂 @faab64@palestine

reminded me of this picture from Iran in 78 back then I was on the student's side on the right of that image (accidentally found it on internet a few years ago of me and 2 of my HS friends minutes before the military opened fire and killed several students at Tehran University).
@faab64 Me at 15 in 1968 at Central Park NY after clobbering a cop who had just beaten a guy who had been doing nothing but just happen to be sitting in the way of a cop chasing someone. Caused the cop to lose that one, so he turned on the guy just sitting there. There were 2 of these mounties. Its a cropped pic of the next week's Village Voice front page banner pic.
