I did get to cover pewter a little on the site recently, talking about bismuth and then finding a medallion which was made of pewter. Actually that medallion will get you closer to my coin than the USA...
Here's a clue. Someone mentioned the Pewter Continental Dollar from the USA. My 1776 coin is not that, but thinking about pewter, I posted a pewter medallion on the site recently... That will get you closer to the coin than the USA.
Oh, and it's not pewter, but it is an alloy: billon (I did say it was not a precious metal. Technically it has silver in it. I would have guessed it was simply a copper coin before looking it up.) @numismatics@histodons

Definitely the right thinking there! You'd find factories, and plows, all over the world of course, but there are some places much more likely to feature that imagery on their coins.
