And we set up a Congress intended to represent the voice & will of 'We the People. We would elect people to be our voice in Congress. We would elect our President. Our Congress & our President would work things out as 'We the People' wished. If things weren't working out, there would be a Supreme Court to help make sense of it all.

It's been adjusted along the way, trying to reduce corruption, trying to make things better for more of 'We the People.' Nothing is perfect. It's designed for change. Our ability to make change is being eroded. 'We the People' are part of the system. Independence means taking on some responsibility. The system only works if all the parts do their job. If we want the system to work we have to do our part. It takes time, a little bit here-a little bit there. For over 200 years it's been our system to maintain and parts are going bad.
