Cyrix6x86 ,

Use LXQt or sway.

mryessir OP ,

I am not against GTK+. I love XFCE.
My motivation is to implement my workflow in wayland from scratch so that I can reuse everything needed.

Even though I am using okular and xfce and have all dependencies around I would like to keep it to my minimum.

anzo Mod ,

Perhaps you're looking for LXDE/ LXQT. The latter is only the WM (think of it as more barebones). There are plenty other WMs, check distros and their (frequently unofficial) spins like "archbang"..

mryessir OP ,

I'm happy on Debian!
I wouldn't switch, I am not disliking QT or GTK.
The first iteration needs to reuse these components anyways!

Lightly weight clients should form an os (Ger: OS/BS).

It requires to be understood and written easily .
British English is the common denominator in written English because it is more precise.

Language shall be formulated so that it matches european, common grammar - like this.
