🪔 #OnThisDay in AD 225 Gordian III was born. At the age of 13 he became the youngest emperor of the united Roman Empire – Praetorians elected him, killing two elderly Senate nominees Pupienus and Balbinus. Gordian was murdered by his troops in AD 244.
