This looks like a Peertube instance. Peertube instances can federate with Hexbear (though viewing posts can be a bit finnicky, sometimes you have to force them to federate) and with other Peertube instances. So if someone wants to spin up a Peertube instance to connect with them, that's also a valid way to interact with their content.
Additionally, in more recent updates there is streaming support.
Just be aware that your IP will be visible to seeders and leechers of Peertube vids.
Since I'm tankie-adjacent and had to do with the affair I'll just voice my opinion: I've seen many good people coming from that instance, both on hexbear and outside hexbear, some of them even comrades. Punishing them for the actions of their mod team seems a bit too much to me. The offenders have (rightfully) been banned from this instance, and on the rare occasion a wandering lib will post on here we can all PPB them, I'll join too.
Also, semi-related but I love how just by shitposting on a piracy community I caused an inter-instance diplomatic crisis and had 2 (PoS) admins banned, lol wasn't my intention but I'm glad they showed their true self, so to say.
Edit: also remaining federated while having the admins banned is such a power move lol, "hate da gubmyent not da paypoohl" but for real this time
No - why can't you just report any reactionary dbzero comment or user you see on Hexbear. We need at least one other decently active instance to be federated with otherwise I'm just gonna see the same 4 users posts daily. maddened
No I like dbzer0 they just have some annoying lib users. Its not where I go to have high quality discussions but the memes are fine and a lot of the people are pretty good, some even comrades. I was looking at a post dragging HB, and there was one user who was malding about us and everyone else was like, "nah they're good"
Idk I'm fine with them if you're gonna defed because of a few bad lib/reactionary interactions you'd have to defed everybody except lemmygrad probably, which is also valid I guess but I personally disagree with that.
I disagree. Piracy is cool, and it keeps the more obnoxious libs out because libs are corporate shills who brag about paying slop at full price. As long as /c/piracy is still around, I think it's worth federating with them.
