DOCUMENTED CASE HISTORIES ASSEMBLED FOR YOUR FRIGHT AND ENJOYMENT BY THE GREAT CRIMEFIGHTER. A small tabbed manila folder in the upper left contains the title and a drawing of The Spirit, a detective character created by Will Eisner that began in 1940. The subtitle fills the top half of the cover with ghostly lettering. The lower half features a buxom blonde ghost in a white gown, with a look of terror on her face, flying above a stone parapet at night. A rickety wooden house is visible in the background. The woman's hands appear to have been severed, blood staining the ends of the gown's long sleeves. Cover & interior art by Will Eisner. 1976. On the right is Yours truly, JACK the Ripper. TALES OF HORROR by ROBERT BLOCH, author of PSYCHO. L92-527 Belmont 50¢. The text appears as roughly brushed lettering on a very old brick wall. 1962.
