Taylor Swift seems like a far better person than most billionaires, but the existence of billionaires itself is a moral failing, IMHO. I agree with xantoxis, if you're truly doing everything you can to help others, it's impossible to become a billionaire, because you'd never hoard that much resources when they can do so much good for so many others.

Look at someone like Dolly Parton, who would be a billionaire if she didn't give away so much money. She's doing it right.

Of course, Rowling, in addition to being a billionaire, is also a cruel, hateful creature, where Taylor is not AFAIK.

The government said it welcomed the "landmark decision", adding it would help ensure care is based on evidence and is in the "best interests of the child".

Because nothing says evidence based care based on the best interests of the patient than blanket-banning treatment based on zero evidence whatsoever.

There's been a lot of... discourse... around the fact that, in the new Disney+ X-Men cartoon, Morph is going to be portrayed as nonbinary.

You can see a bunch of chuds raging about it if you go to YouTube and search for X-Men Woke

The version I always heard when I was young was, "If you're not a liberal at 20, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative at 40, you have no brain."

Here I am in my mid 40s, and I'm pretty sure the conservatives are the ones with no brains.

I do remember a recent thing where a woman skater went full-ass TERF after having placed lower than a trans woman in a competition and making the right wing noise cycle, conveniently leaving out that they placed something like fifth and sixth behind a child. Google is being extremely unhelpful right now in finding it, though, instead showing me article after article about a separate story where a trans woman won a skating competition, which frame it in the most horrible way possible by making repeated reference to the fact that a 13 year old got second place. Lots of mentions of her "beating a 13 year old" and not being apologetic about it.
